OntarioCities allows you to send newsletters out to people who have signed up to your website's mailing list
(if purchased) and specify which categories to send the newsletter to. We use a 3rd party mailing system to ensure compliance with
anti-spamming laws and to handle the large volume of email a newsletter can generate. To prevent unsolictied emails people must
opt in/out to the newsletter via your website. If you are using categories each category will have its own userlist and people will
have to opt into each list they want to get emails from. Also they will have to opt into a main list that you can use when wanting to
email everyone.
Clicking the News Categories link (fig 1.0 ()) brings you to fig 9.0. This allows you
to enter categories for your members to subscribe to on your website. To add a category click the 'Add Category' button in section 1 or to edit/delete
a category click the cateogry name in section 2. Section 3 shows the category Name. Section 4 lets you know if a new Category has been activated yet.

Short Name is the name used to make the email list. The shorter the better using letters/numbers. All letters will be converted to lower case and spaces to underscore. Your category will be inactive until administration can create the new mailing list for it. This usually is done within the next business day.
